Ted’s Butcherblock Donates $1200 to One80 Place
Friday night dinner service at Ted's Butcherblock is special in more ways than one...
Each Friday, the team at Ted's offers a special dinner service featuring cut and grilled-to-order selections from the butcher and seafood case, plus a special featured dinner menu. And each quarter, the team selects a local charitable organization to be the beneficiary of a portion of proceeds from Friday Dinner sales.
In the fourth quarter of 2021, "Friday Dinners for a Cause" raised $1,200 for One80 Place, an organization that, among other things, serves more than 175,000 meals per day to clients and anyone in the community who is hungry. Other services include shelter and housing assistance for those without a home, healthcare clinics, legal assistance, job training, and more. In short, One80 Place helps thousands of people in our community find their way to a better life each year.

Over the past 16 years, Ted's Butcherblock has donated a total of more than $50,000 to local charitable organizations throughout their Friday fundraising initiatives. Prior to the pandemic, the butcher shop and gourmet cafe hosted Friday Wine Tasting events, where a $5 tasting donation helped raise funds for a quarterly charity partner. When dinner service began again in 2021, the team switched its format to raise money by donating 10% of Friday Dinner sales to the dedicated charity.
Proceeds from this quarter’s weekly “Friday Dinners for A Cause” will be spent to serve meals to front-line health care workers. At the end of March, the team will be distributing gift cards to Covid units at local hospitals to purchase lunch for their employees.
