Meal Planning for Your Holiday Gatherings

It's the most festive - and frantic - time of the year here at Ted's. The elves behind the counter at your neighborhood butcher shop are working overtime to help you spread the joy this season with delicious food. From our special menu of holiday sides (see below) to anything you could dream of from the Butcher and Seafood counter, we're here to help you make the most of the season. Just be sure to plan ahead and place your orders for meat, seafood and platters by Dec. 17 for anything you need by Christmas.

Painted Hills Natural Beef Standing Rib Roast
This makes an impressive presentation for your holiday table, and it’s easier to prepare than you might think. Click here for our instructions.

Painted Hills Natural Beef Tenderloin
This is an easy and delicious option that is a true crowd-pleaser. It can be cooked to order and serve as the star of a sit-down dinner, or prepared in advance and served sliced on a platter for a more casual affair. With advance notice, we can also prepare a Beef Tenderloin Platter for you - just ask us for details!

Berkwood Farms Kurobuta Pork Roast
Many of our customers love our kurobuta pork chops and prepare them regularly. But have you ever tried cooking a bone-in pork roast? It’s delicious and an excellent choice for the holidays

Maybe seafood is more your style - or perhaps you’ll be serving a “surf and turf” combination this year. Here are some suggestions, but keep in mind that we accept all kinds of special orders and can usually get what you need with 24-48 hours advance notice.

Scottish Salmon
We keep this in stock regularly in the Seafood Case and it’s one of our best sellers.

New England Lobster
Consider a “surf & turf” combo with lobster tail and beef tenderloin, or serve up whole New England lobsters for your guests. Advance orders required.

Oysters
We special order both local oysters and selections from other regions around the country, depending on your preferences.

Caviar
We typically don’t keep caviar in stock, but we frequently order it for customers. Tell us what you’re looking for - or ask us for suggestions - and we’ll get you what you need.

Whole Fish
A whole fish platter is always an impressive selection for entertaining. Ask us what’s fresh and local, and we’ll help you select the right fish for your holiday meal.

Easy and Delicious Holiday Sides

Our chef has prepared a delicious menu of sides and sauces designed to complement your entrees and make completing a memorable holiday meal a snap. Choose from the following:

  • Smoky Chorizo Dressing - $15/lb.

  • Cheesy Baked Brussels Sprouts - $15/lb.

  • Corned Beef Hash - $15/lb.

  • Twice-baked Sweet Potatoes - $7/ea.

  • Corn & Bacon Chowder w/ Cornbread Croutons - $15/qt.

  • Cranberry Sauce - $10/pt.

  • Horseradish Cream Sauce - $8/cup

  • Beef Jus - $12/pt.

Items are packaged for easy reheating. Please place orders by Dec. 17 for pick up on December 23-24 by calling (843) 577-0094.

Grilled Beef Tenderloin Platter
Painted Hills Natural Beef tenderloin grilled on the Big Green Egg & sliced thin; served with horseradish cream sauce.

Salmon Platter
Scottish salmon smoked whole & served with an assortment of pickled vegetables & accouterments.

Large Charcuterie Plate (serves 7-10)

It’s always good to have a diverse selection of wine available at the holidays. We offer case discounts – call or email and let us help you put a case together that will complement your meal and include options for many palates.

We’re adjusting our schedule in the coming weeks to accommodate the holidays and allow our crew to spend time with family. Please make note of our Holiday Hours:

  • Fri 12/24: Open 11 am – 3 pm

  • Sat 12/25 - Mon 12/27: CLOSED

  • Tues 12/28 - Thurs 12/30: Open regular hours

  • Fri 12/31: Open 11 am - 3 pm

  • Sat 1/1 - Thurs 1/6: CLOSED
