Disaster Relief Fundraising Underway for Western NC
We’re participating in the Charleston food and beverage community’s October fundraising drive to help our F+B friends in Western North Carolina who were impacted by Hurricane Helene, and we’ll be continuing our fundraising through the end of the year via our Friday Dinners for a Cause initiative.
A percentage of proceeds from our fourth quarter Friday Dinner sales will be directed to Southern Smoke Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded and powered by food and beverage workers and dedicated to creating a meaningful safety net of support for those in the industry who are in need. Through its Emergency Relief Fund, SSF distributes millions of dollars each year to F+B workers across the country impacted by emergencies of all kinds, including natural disasters. They are currently working hard to assist the F+B community in WNC.
Charleston and Asheville are often referred to as “sister cities,” and both cities are know for their abundance of food and beverage options. Those of us in Charleston are well aware of the impacts a hurricane of any size can have on citizens, businesses and property. Our hearts go out to all of the victims trying to rebuild their lives in WNC. Please consider making a donation to Southern Smoke Foundation to help with the ongoing relief efforts.
