It’s Time for Our Block Party Birthday Bash!

October 2, 2016

This month marks our 11th year in business, and we’re hosting our annual Block Party on Saturday, October 15th to celebrate. Chef Jamey’s got a special lunch menu planned, and we’ll be cooking Wagyu burgers on the grill. The Short Grain Food Truck will also be onsite, serving up some of their most popular menu items, along with a special Wagyu Beef feature. Local beer and live music from The Bushels and Get With It are also on tap.

Organized by Lowcountry Local First, Charleston’s advocate for a locally-based economy, the campaign takes advantage of the abundance of fresh, local produce that’s in season at this time of the year to help spread the word about the importance of sourcing food locally whenever possible.

With your help, we raised $800 for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra over the past three months at our Friday Wine tastings. This quarter, we’re pleased to once again advocate for our friends at One80 Place, the largest provider of comprehensive services to homeless people in South Carolina. With homelessness and hunger a growing challenge in our community, organizations like One80 Place are critical for helping serve our residents in need.

Ted’s Helps Raise $3,700 for Charity in 2015

Donations totaling $3,700 were collected at our Friday Wine Tasting events throughout the year, and donations were presented to four local non-profit organizations: Lowcountry Lab Rescue, Communities in Schools, OneEighty Place and Lowcountry Local First.

We’re joining forces with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra for the first quarter of 2016 to raise money and awareness for our city’s world class orchestra, which makes its home just around the corner in the new Galliard Center. All of the proceeds from the $5 tasting donations at our weekly Friday Wine Tastings will be donated to the CSO at the end of the quarter.
