As a locally owned and operated shop, we’re big fans of the unique businesses, traditions and neighborhoods that make downtown Charleston special. In the face of unprecedented growth, preserving local character has never been more important or difficult. Our neighbors in the Upper Peninsula (29405) will be the hardest hit by growth, but inequitable redevelopment in those neighborhoods will have a far-reaching impact on Charleston’s ecosystem as a whole.
Want to protect the diverse character of Charleston’s Upper Peninsula and take a stand against unsustainable growth? So do we!
Now through the end of March, 100% of our Weekly Wine Tasting proceeds will benefit Enough Pie. This local nonprofit is a network of residents, artists and activists who are using artistic collaborations to inspire civic engagement and influence opinions about growth and development. By shedding a “creative light” on the Upper Peninsula’s development concerns, Enough Pie endeavors to hold civic leaders and developers more accountable to equitable growth.
