Buy Local Month is officially underway! This Lowcountry Local First campaign, which runs annually (November 15th – December 15th), encourages Charleston area residents to allocate a portion of their holiday shopping budget to local businesses. But why is this initiative so important? According to LLF, “local businesses reinvest three times more money back into our local economy.” When you shop local you’re keeping dollars within our community, and you’re supporting a unique mix of businesses that make the Charleston area singularly special.
Buying Local is Easy
Lowcountry Local First has added Buy Local Easy Buttons to their website that showcase a variety of gift ideas, many of which (like our Bacon of the Month Club) can be purchased online. And if you prefer to shop in-store, simply look for the Buy Local badge in storefront windows. These badges indicate that a business is locally owned and contributing to LLF advocacy efforts.
Holiday Gifts at Ted’s
In addition to Bacon of the Month Club membership, we offer a variety of gourmet gift baskets. Baskets can be purchased online and shipped directly to friends and family members, or you can opt for in-store pick-up to avoid shipping fees.
You can also customize signature gift baskets or build your own from scratch. Please email special requests to firstname.lastname@example.org.
More Ways to Support Local
Holiday shopping is just one of many ways to support locally owned businesses. We hope you will join us for our Friday Dinner and Wine Tasting! Now through the end of the year, 100% of your wine tasting donation ($5 per guest) will benefit Lowcountry Local First and their local business advocacy efforts.
